International Education Contributes More Than €8.3 Billion to the Spanish Economy, Establishing It as a Leading Academic Destination
Spain continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading destinations for international education. This is reflected in the 2026 edition of the study on the economic impact of international students in Spain, which estimates that during the 2023–2024 academic year, more than 1.04 million international students were enrolled in an educational program in the country, generating an economic impact of more than €8.316 billion, a figure equivalent to 0.55% of the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) has been officially notified by the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE), confirming the highly satisfactory evaluation and positive closure of the Erasmus+ E+DIETing_LAB - Digital Lab for Education in Dietetics combining Experiential Learning and Community Service project.
