UNEATLANTICO Welcomes International Exchange Students Joining This Term

Members of the International Relations Office (ORI) at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) welcomed the students joining the University through the Erasmus+ mobility program and bilateral agreements with institutions outside the European Higher Education Area.In short, during this first semester, the University will welcome more than 120 students.

On September 17 at 5:00 p.m. (CET) the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), a partner in the European Start-DSP project, will host an online multiplier event in Spanish titled “Educating for Sustainable, Digital, and Profitable Entrepreneurship: The Tools of the European Start-DSP Project” (Educar para el emprendimiento sostenible, digital y rentable: las herramientas del proyecto europeo Start-DSP), during which the main results and resources developed as part of the initiative will be presented.

International Education Contributes More Than €8.3 Billion to the Spanish Economy, Establishing It as a Leading Academic Destination

Spain continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading destinations for international education. This is reflected in the 2026 edition of the study on the economic impact of international students in Spain, which estimates that during the 2023–2024 academic year, more than 1.04 million international students were enrolled in an educational program in the country, generating an economic impact of more than €8.316 billion, a figure equivalent to 0.55% of the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

UNEATLANTICO Professor Analyzes the Relationship between Emotional Intelligence, Neurophysiological Activity, and Academic Performance among University Students

Sara Morales, a professor and researcher at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), has completed the research project “Brain Correlates and Neurophysiological Measures Related to Emotional Intelligence in University Students,” funded by the Sociedad para el Desarrollo Regional de Cantabria (Association for the Regional Development of Cantabria, SODERCAN). This project has made it possible to establish a link between emotional intelligence, academic performance, and psychological well-being, integrating psychological assessment with the analysis of various neurophysiological indicators.
