On September 17 at 5:00 p.m. (CET) the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), a partner in the European Start-DSP project, will host an online multiplier event in Spanish titled “Educating for Sustainable, Digital, and Profitable Entrepreneurship: The Tools of the European Start-DSP Project” (Educar para el emprendimiento sostenible, digital y rentable: las herramientas del proyecto europeo Start-DSP), during which the main results and resources developed as part of the initiative will be presented.
The project, led by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU) in Germany, the following European institutions are participating: the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) in Spain, Momentum Services in Ireland, European E-Learning Institute (EUEI) in Denmark, Metropolitan College in Greece, and the German consulting firm The Vision Works.
The event is aimed specifically at students, faculty in fields related to business and entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurs interested in learning about new tools and methodologies to promote a more innovative, digital, sustainable, and ethical entrepreneurial education.
During the event, Drs. Thomas Prola and Emmanuel Soriano, researchers at Start-DSP, will explain the various products developed during the project, which aim toimprove the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education at institutions of higher education.
Emmanuel Soriano holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education and a Master’s degree in International Business Administration. He has experience as a professor and researcher at various universities in Mexico and Spain. Thomas Prola holds a Doctorates in Education Sciences from the University of Barcelona (UB). He has a Master’s Degree in Education and Teaching in Virtual Environment.
The program will combine the presentation of various findings with the participation of invited experts and opportunities for dialogue with the audience. Among other topics, the course will cover the competence framework and curriculum guide, the course and the case studies, as well as the business plan evaluator.
The event will also feature researchers from the European RISE UP project, in which UNEATLANTICO is also participating, and which aims to help higher education professionals address both the scientific and emotional dimensions of the climate crisis, particularly its impact on students.
Aline Noyola de la Llave, Ph.D. in Economics and Government, an academic and founder of Komuni—a rural and community-based tourism platform in Mexico created a decade ago to promote sustainable tourism based on a different approach than that of the international tourism industry—will also speak at the event.
