Dr Paula Quijano, academic director of the degree programme in Translation and Interpreting and Applied Languages, Translation and Language Teaching (TEL) at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), completed an Erasmus+ Training stay at the University of the Azores located in Ponta Delgada, Portugal.
The mayor of Astillero visits UNEATLANTICO to strengthen institutional collaboration
The Mayor of Astillero, Javier Fernández Soberón, paid an official visit to the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), where he was received by the Rector, Rubén Calderón, with the aim of strengthening ties, seeing the campus facilities first-hand and proposing new avenues of collaboration between the two institutions.

The new Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) program ‘Simulation-based training and digital technologies combined with service-learning approach for experiential and reflective learning in nutrition and dietetic education’ (MAHINE), which is led by the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) and in which the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC) and the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) participate, has officially started its activity, with several virtual meetings conducted between partners to discuss the first steps of the project and the implementation of new digital tools to improve the training of nutritionists.

On Tuesday 18 November at the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) a talk was given by Guillermo Barros, delegate of the Tax Office in Cantabria. The colloquium, aimed at the university community, focused on civic-tax education and sought to convey the fundamental message that the payment of taxes is the pillar of the financing of collective needs and the welfare state, as well as explaining clearly how the Spanish tax system works.
