UNEATLANTICO researchers propose a tool to combat fake news in digital media
Researchers at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European Atlantic University, UNEATLANTICO), Dr. Mónica Gracia, international director of admissions at the Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana (Iberoamerican University Foundation, FUNIBER), and Dr. Eduardo Silva, executive director of the same foundation in Guatemala, carry out a study with other professionals to improve automatic detection of fake news through machine learning. This work demonstrates the effectiveness of a hybrid and multivistic approach to analyze informational content in digital environments.

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) received the renowned editorial and commercial photographer José Gegúndez, who offered an enriching talk to the students of the degrees in Communication. Recognized for his work with the Royal House and prominent figures of international entertainment, Gegúndez addressed his professional career, the relevance of visual culture and the keys to success in photojournalism.

The meeting was held on November 27 at the Aranjuez Campus of the King Juan Carlos University.
