UNEATLANTICO supports the inclusion of a new elective on the development of an active and healthy lifestyle offered by Education.
Recently, the modification of the Baccalaureate curriculum of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria has been approved. In this modification, a new optional subject has been included in the 2nd year of baccalaureate in the area of Physical Education, entitled Development of Active and Healthy Lifestyle, which has a teaching load of 4 hours, and which can be implemented in all schools in Cantabria from the next academic year.

Dr. Carlos Lago Fuentes, academic director of the degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD) at the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), participated in the Teacher Training Plan organized by the Technical Unit of Educational Quality of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Universities of the Government of Cantabria, with his talk on the ESPADE Program, entitled: "The management of educational programs with young athletes".

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) held last Tuesday, November 21, a meeting with the General Director of Deportes (Sports), Susana Ruiz. Josep Alemany, head of the Servicio Internacional de Convenios y Acuerdos Deportivos (International Service of Sports Agreements and Conventions, SICAD), and Dr. Carlos Lago, academic director of the degree in Sport and Exercise Science, represented the academic institution at the meeting.
