UNEATLANTICO strengthens its infrastructure with a new residence hall and sports complex
The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) will invest €30 million in two new plots of land that will house a new residence hall and sports complex in the Cantabria Science and Technology Park. The rector, Rubén Calderón, together with the Minister of Industry, Eduardo Arasti, visited the two new plots acquired by the university.

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) welcomed new lecturers and researchers joining for the 2025-2026 academic year at a meeting organised by the Vice-Chancellor's Office for Academic Planning and Teaching Staff on the university campus. In addition to the new lecturers, the meeting was also attended by the directors of the various degree programmes and the heads of various management areas and departments of the institution, including the Rector's Office, the Academic Secretariat and the Management Office.

Researchers from UNEATLANTICO participate in a study developing an efficient method to protect communication in underwater sensor networks
Dr. Mónica Gracia, Director of Admissions at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), and Helena Garay, researcher and lecturer at the same university, participated in a study that has developed a new method known as ‘singcryption’ to improve security and efficiency in underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSN). This advance is particularly useful in applications such as marine research and military surveillance, where it is crucial to transmit data securely and efficiently.
