The project «Digital Academy in Teaching Practice for a Seamless Transition from Pre-Service to In-Service», led by the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (UNEATLANTICO) and with the participation of the Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana (FUNIBER) together with partners from other European institutions, has received the third prize for the Project of the Year of the European Union, awarded by an international jury, and the first place in votes on social networks, in the prestigious ACEEU Triple E Awards, at a ceremony held in Prague, Czech Republic. The event was attended by Dr. Thomas Prola, director of international R&D projects at the European Atlantic University and leader of the DIGITAL TA project.

The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) will invest €30 million in two new plots of land that will house a new residence hall and sports complex in the Cantabria Science and Technology Park.
