Daniel Fernández and Alejandro Juárez, finalists of the first UNEATLANTICO badminton tournament, will represent the university in the Campeonato de España Universitario
On March 21, the first university badminton tournament was held at the facilities of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO). This tournament was organized by the university’s Sports Service (SAFD) in conjunction with the Federación Cántabra de Bádminton (Cantabrian Badminton Federation), an institution that UNEATLANTICO has close ties with since the signing of a collaboration agreement. The finalists, Alejandro Juárez and Daniel Fernández, will have the honor of representing UNEATLANTICO in the Campeonato de España Universitario (CEU, University Badminton Championship) .

Ángeles Espinosa, former El País correspondent, an analyst on Arab and Islamic world affairs, opened the Foro de Periodismo Matilde Zapata (Matilde Zapata Journalism Forum) of the Colegio de Periodistas de Cantabria (Cantabria College of Journalists) by explaining the geopolitical keys of the countries of the Middle East. The talk by Espinosa, who has three decades of experience as a correspondent in Dubai, Tehran, Baghdad, Cairo, and Beirut, took place in the Sala María Blanchard (María Blanchard Hall) of the Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria (Festival Palace of Cantabria).
