Dr. Maurizio Battino, director of the Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana(Ibero-American University Foundation, FUNIBER) at its headquarters in Italy and of the Research Group on Food, Nutritional Biochemistry and Health of the Universidad Europea del Atlantico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), participates in a study that proposes a personalized treatment strategy to address oxidative stress in patients with periodontitis. Francesca Giampieri, a professor at the European Atlantic University (UNEATLANTICO), an institution that is part of the Foundation’s International University Network, also participates in the study.

The project «Digital Academy in Teaching Practice for a Seamless Transition from Pre-Service to In-Service», led by the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (UNEATLANTICO) and with the participation of the Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana (FUNIBER) together with partners from other European institutions, has received the third prize for the Project of the Year of the European Union, awarded by an international jury, and the first place in votes on social networks, in the prestigious ACEEU Triple E Awards, at a ceremony held in Prague, Czech Republic. The event was attended by Dr. Thomas Prola, director of international R&D projects at the European Atlantic University and leader of the DIGITAL TA project.
