Mohamed Attaoui, Spanish Olympic athlete and European runner-up, has visited the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) to participate in the scientific research that is being carried out with the collaboration of the Cantabrian Athletics Federation (FCA). The evaluation was attended by the coordinator of the Doctorate Programme in Physical Activity and Sport: Risks and Benefits, Dr. Álvaro Velarde Sotres and by the technical director of the Cantabrian Athletics Federation, Santiago Velasco.

Marta Santiago, current PhD student of the PhD in Physical Activity and Sport: Risks and Benefits, at Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) together with her PhD directors, Susana Pulgar, from the Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFYD) at UNEATLANTICO and Hugo Olmedillas Fernandez, lecturer at the University of Oviedo, have published a research article in the framework of their PhD, on the platform The Conversation.

Dr. Juan Luis Martin Ayala, director of the Degree in Psychology (PSI) and the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology at the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) held a meeting at the Lezama sports facilities with David Rincón, director of the Psychology Department of Athletic Club de Bilbao with the aim of exploring new ways of collaboration in research, teaching and professional intervention in the field of sports psychology.

Recently, the modification of the Baccalaureate curriculum of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria has been approved. In this modification, a new optional subject has been included in the 2nd year of baccalaureate in the area of Physical Education, entitled Development of Active and Healthy Lifestyle, which has a teaching load of 4 hours, and which can be implemented in all schools in Cantabria from the next academic year.
