The Honorable Mr. Alfredo Dombe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to the Kingdom of Spain, together with the Honorable Mr. Rubén Calderón, Rector Magnificent of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), presided on the 10th anniversary of the University the graduation of the students of Computer Engineering (II), Agro-Food Engineering (IIAA), Industrial Organization Engineering (IOI), Food Science and Technology (CTA), Human Nutrition and Dietetics (NHD), as well as of the non-face-to-face postgraduate degrees taught at this academic institution.

On May 25, the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) celebrates Africa Day, which is a special occasion to reflect on the achievements and challenges of the African continent. For UNEATLANTICO, the presence of students from various African countries is important, increasing the global vision of the campus. Among the university community, we are proud to have students from Angola, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Mali and Senegal. In addition, it is worth mentioning the partnership with the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (UNIC).

 Dr. Alfredo Dombe, Angolan Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, visited the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) where he was welcomed by the university authorities and the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), an institution that promotes the articulation of the multinational space of Iberophony through educational, cultural, and technical cooperation. The Angolan high representative participated in a business meeting held at the university.

Álvaro Durántez Prados, lecturer at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), as well as director of Institutional Relations of the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) and of the FUNIBER Chair of Iberoamerican Studies and Iberophony (Cátedra FUNIBER de Estudios Iberoamericanos y de la Iberofonía), has published in the ABC newspaper the article "Angola and Spain, Iberoáfrica (Angola y España, Iberoáfrica)".

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) welcomed Joel Barreto, director of International Relations of the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), at its campus on November 30. During his stay in Santander, Barreto was received by the rector of UNEATLANTICO, Rubén Calderón, with the fundamental objective of strengthening collaboration between the two institutions.

On November 10, the Embassy of Angola in Madrid celebrated the 48th anniversary of the country's independence with the convening of an official reception in the capital of Spain in which participated the Iberoamerican University Foundation and the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), represented on that occasion by the director of Institutional Relations of FUNIBER and the Cátedra de Estudios Iberoamericanos y de la Iberofonía (Chair of Ibero-American Studies and Iberophony), of which UNIC is part, Dr. F. Álvaro Durántez, professor at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO).
