UNEATLANTICO inaugurates an exhibition on Goya’s antics as never seen before, as part of the International Staff Week 2026

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) has inaugurated a very special exhibition dedicated to The Nonsense of Francisco de Goya, one of the most enigmatic and fascinating series by the Aragonese artist. The exhibition can be visited in the university’s exhibition hall and is part of the International Staff Week 2026 programme, organized by the Office for International Relations (ORI).

The exhibition stands out for two unique elements that make this proposal an unprecedented experience for the public. On the one hand, it incorporates an innovative color work made by Federico Fernández, director of the cultural work of UNEATLANTICO, which accompanies the original engravings and allows to discover new faces, figures and details hidden in the work of Goya, offering a new look on the series.

On the other hand, the university will officially present a new heritage acquisition: an engraving turret attributed to Goya, which will be permanently displayed in the small exhibition hall of UNEATLANTICO, known as “Inferno”. This historical piece represents an important artistic and cultural value for the institution.

With this initiative, UNEATLANTICO reaffirms its commitment to the cultural promotion and dialogue between art, heritage and university community in an international context.
