Representatives of Nişantaşı University of Istanbul and UNEFS of Bucharest visit the UNEATLANTICO campus

A delegation from Nişantaşı University of Istanbul, Turkey, were welcomed on campus by members of the Oficina de Relaciones Internacionales (Office of International Relations, ORI) of UNEATLANTICO.

UNEATLANTICO had the pleasure of welcoming Hazar Dordunku, professor and head of the International Relations Office of Nişantaşı University, as well as Zeynep Ozkurt, professor and head of international agreements and Erasmus at the same institution. Leticia Díaz Arribas, member of the Oficina de Relaciones Internacionales of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) welcomed them and gave them a tour of the university campus.

The purpose of this visit was to get to know UNEATLANTICO’s facilities personally and to meet UNEATLANTICO’s international affairs representatives first hand. The two universities recently signed an agreement that seeks to promote the mobility of students and professors in the areas of communication sciences, psychology, and business administration and management starting in the 2024/2025 academic year.

During their stay in Santander, the university professors visited the laboratories, television set, radio studio, and translation and interpretation booths, as well as the library, auditorium, sports center, and study rooms. On the other hand, they visited the facilities of the UNEATLANTICO Residence, which houses more than 400 students from Africa, America, Asia, and Europe.

Visit of UNEFS from Romania

The National University of Physical Education and Sport (UNEFS) of Bucharest, Romania, also visited the UNEATLANTICO campus. Laura Martín, who is part of the ORI, welcomed Rareş Stănescu, Corina Ciolca, and Gheorghe Grigore to our university.

The good relationship with UNEFS dates to 2019, when an agreement was signed to promote mobilities between the two universities. Due to the nature of this university and its prestige in the field of physical activity, the director of the CAFYD degree, Dr. Carlos Lago, held a meeting with representatives of UNEFS to study new ways of collaboration for the benefit of both universities.

As it is already a tradition on the UNEATLANTICO campus, the university, through the ORI, holds a welcome activity for international students from different countries who are part of the Erasmus+ mobility program. That said, it will be a pleasure for the UNEATLANTICO community to have students coming from the Nişantaşı University of Istanbul, to spend their Erasmus stays in Santander.
