FUNIBER organizes the event in collaboration with the European University of the Atlantic, with the second edition of PHotoFUNIBER with the objective of contemplating the world from another perspective.
The FUNIBER Cultural Works has created the international photography competition, PHotoFUNIBER’20 to showcase images that represent the diversity, fragility of the planet, social cooperation, and beauty through creativity and inspiration.
The competition includes six prizes in total, two prizes for each category: a prize from the jury and another for the photograph with the most public votes through the webpage www.photofuniber.org. The winners will be announced on May 4th and will receive several cash prizes and scholarships to study one of the postgraduate programs sponsored by FUNIBER.
The competition is divided into four categories:
- Nature: Photos of natural surroundings, fauna, flora, water, among other natural elements.
- Heritage: Photos of cultural elements such as architecture, dance, gastronomy, artworks, music, etc.
- Photojournalism: Photos that express human complexities through people, events, and actions that represent such human values as solidarity, cooperation, education, and personal development.
- Abstract: Photographs made with or without digital or photo manipulation, representing some idea, concept, or original aesthetics.
The winning photos will be exhibited in the Exhibition Hall of the European University of the Atlantic.
