Master Dr. José Manuel Gil de Gálvez will perform between 18 and 30 of May a tour of concerts, lectures and masterclass of violin, chamber music and conducting orchestra in Ecuador and Panama, with the support of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), and the Hispania Music Foundation.

On Tuesday, May 19 will hold the lecture “The importance of music as a fundamental pillar of human development: Violin teaching at an early age”, at the school Unidad Educativa República de Francia, located in Guayaquil (Ecuador). On May 21 at 19:15 he will take over the Guayaquil Philharmonic Orchestra in the Catholic Church of San Antonio María Claret with a program in which he will participate as director and soloist and that will unite works by Spanish composers such as Turina, Sor, Falla, a rescued violin piece by Usandizaga and Mozart’s 41st “Jupiter” Symphony. The concert is free but requires prior confirmation.

Subsequently, the artist will move to Panama, where he will hold two concerts with the Istmo Chamber Orchestra, which will include works by Giménez, Albéniz, Turina and Falla, along with the overture of La flauta mágica and Bruch’s Violin Concerto. The first concert is scheduled for Friday, May 29, at 7:30 pm, at the Teatro Balboa in Panama City. The second will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 5:00 p.m. in the Church of Natá, in the province of Coclé. During his stay in Panama he will also conduct several workshops and master classes of chamber music, violin and orchestral conducting.

Gil de Gálvez is a polyhedral artist who approaches music from different perspectives, interpretation, pedagogy, dissemination, management and research, and who has the violin, instrument, and orchestra conducting as its main thread. Since 1996 he is Primer Violín and leader of the prestigious Spanish string orchestra Concerto Málaga.

As an orchestra conductor, he has an important career that began with his debut at the National Theater of El Salvador, achieving a great success at the head of the Venezuelan Philharmonic Orchestra at the Teresa Carreño Theatre in Caracas.
