A group of students from the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic) (UNEATLANTICO) provided assistance at the VIII Edition of the Global Youth Leadership Forum (GYLF), held at the Palacio de la Magdalena. UNEATLANTICO’s Vice Rector for Academic Organization, Silvia Aparicio Obregón, along with professors Luis Eduardo Prado González and Pablo Puente Sánchez, attended the forum. Additionally, alumnae Marta Fidalgo and Scarlet Salazar, who played pivotal roles as group coordinators, contributed significantly to the success of this esteemed event.
The GYLF is chaired by Mr. Jacobo Pombo García and Mr. Cruz Guijarro Herrero, and coordinated by Giorgiana Calvo and Lesslie Jean. This year, the forum focused on «Economic Trends and Global Cooperation» as its main theme. Young leaders worldwide engaged in discussions with prominent global figures about key trends in the current international economy.
They also emphasized the need for robust economic cooperation at both intergovernmental levels and between public and private sectors. This is in line with efforts to pave the way for economic recovery after recent global challenges.
Notable speakers at the GYLF included Dr. Susana Del Río Villar, director of the Spanish Presidency cycle of the Council of the European Union, and Mr. Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, president of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).
The active participation of UNEATLANTICO students in the Global Youth Leadership Forum reflects their commitment toward academic growth and an understanding of global challenges. The University is proud of the important representation of its students in this event and enthusiastically hopes that new students of UNEATLANTICO will join future editions of the initiative in collaborating with the GYLF, through the offer of the Centro Empresa Universidad de UNEATLANTICO (University Business Center) (CEMU).
