UNEATLANTICO stands out for its participation in the Spanish University Surfing Championships

Since April 23, the Spanish University Badminton and Surfing Championships have been held, events organized by the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), with the outstanding performance of its students.

The beach of Somo, where the Cantabrian Surfing Federation is located, known for its excellent conditions to practice this sport, has hosted for the first time in history the Spanish University Surfing Championship, adding another milestone in its history of success in this sport. This event has brought together 60 representatives from 18 universities from all over the country.

UNEATLANTICO students among the best of the championship
In Somo, UNEATLANTICO students have excelled, obtaining good results. The student Noah Arenas has managed to qualify second in Bodyboard Open male. On the other hand, the Biscayan student of CAFYD in UNEATLANTICO, Endika Garai, has reached the third place in the male Open Surf. Also, in the team competition, the European University of the Atlantic has achieved an important bronze.

These championships not only represent an opportunity for young athletes to show their talent and compete at the highest level, but also promote sportsmanship and camaraderie between universities throughout Spain.

It is worth remembering that these events are supported by the Consejo Superior de Deportes, the Government of Cantabria, the City Councils of Santander and Ribamontán al Mar, and the Badminton and Surfing Federations of the community, guaranteeing an optimal level in the organization and development of these championships.
