UNEATLANTICO signs a collaboration agreement with the Laboratory of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Pepanpi

The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) and the Laboratory of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Pepanpi sign an agreement for research activities and technical support.
This agreement aims to promote the program entitled “Model of eco-sustainable food safety and environmental health system in collective catering”. It seeks to promote the modernization and digitization of the agri-food industry and support sustainable and competitive economic growth.


Its goal is that with these tools can facilitate the sector to meet the environmental, social and economic challenges faced in the short and long term, and in turn contribute to strengthening the territorial cohesion of Cantabria.

The agreement was signed at the UNEATLANTICO campus facilities by the rector, Rubén Calderón, and the manager of Penanpi, José Luis Gutierrez. On the other hand, Dr. Sandra Sumalla, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and director of the degree in Food Science and Technology, will be in charge of monitoring the development of this project.
