UNEATLANTICO participates in the Autonomous University Sports Championship

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), through its Physical Activity and Sports Service (SAFD), has participated in a new edition of the Autonomous Championship of University Sport, with prominent presence in multiple disciplines.

UNEATLANTICO students competed in badminton, table tennis, pickleball, padel and tennis, with excellent results. In men’s individual table tennis, Marcos García proclaimed himself champion after credibly imposing himself in his match. For her part, Marta Rivero signed an outstanding performance in pickleball, achieving the first place in the female individual category. His good performance also extended to doubles tests, where, together with Sofia Portabella, he won the women’s doubles, and, partnering with Luis de la Mano, he did the same in mixed doubles.

In women’s doubles padel, Marta Rivero and Adriana Pelayo achieved a resounding triumph, confirming the high level of competition among the university representatives. Also, in men’s individual tennis, Fernando Soto took the victory after a highly contested match.

The competition continued with collective sports. Among them, the 3 3 of basketball, futsal and volleyball. UNEATLANTICO added new successes, especially highlighting the victories in men’s indoor soccer and men’s 3 3 basketball, where the teams demonstrated a great level of play and cohesion.

Participation in the CADU reflects UNEATLANTICO’s commitment to university sport, fostering values such as teamwork, excellence and competitive spirit among its students.
