The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European Atlantic University, UNEATLANTICO) invites its students to participate in “Red Bull Basement 2026“, an international program that encourages young innovators to transform emerging ideas into technology projects with global impact. The initiative is aimed at students aged 18-24 and will have its world finale at the end of May 2026 in Silicon Valley (San Francisco, USA).
One of the differentiating elements of Red Bull Basement is the use of artificial intelligence throughout the process. From an early stage, participants are provided with tools to help them generate, validate and improve their ideas, including systems that create automated project summaries and mentorship using personalized AI.
The registration process is now open and will run through April 27, 2026 via an online artificial intelligence (AI) platform. Applications can be submitted individually or in pairs and do not require a incorporated company or an advanced prototype, as early software-related concepts such as apps, platforms or digital tools are prioritized.
In addition, “Red Bull Basement” is backed by global technology partners such as Microsoft and AMD, which will provide registrants with training resources, specialized mentorship, and redeemable credits for cloud services. valued at up to 1,000 euros per project in Microsoft Azure.
The competition schedule in Spain is structured into three stages:
- Enrollment phase: students present their idea on the official “Red Bull Basement 2026” page or complement their idea with the help of bots from the official page to properly express their proposal. This can be submitted until April 27.
- Selection phase: teams must send a document generated with the help of AI from the platform. The best candidates receive an invitation to record a 60-second pitch video. Finally, the finalist projects present their proposal live before a jury in Spanish or English. And the national final scheduled for May 9 will be held in Valencia. Finally, the best-rated ideas will enter the development phase before the global final.
- Development with Global Final: the national winners participate in the global final, which is held in Silicon Valley. This event brings together the best projects from around the world over several days and includes hands-on workshops, mentoring sessions, networking activities and the final presentation to experts and investors.
As for the prizes, all participants already receive benefits from registration, such as technology credits (e.g. up to €1,000 in Microsoft Azure services). In addition, the program offers access to advanced tools, mentorship and high international visibility. The main value of the prize is not only economic, but the opportunity to develop the idea in a professional environment, surrounded by experts and with access to a global innovation ecosystem.
Participation in “Red Bull Basement 2026” represents an opportunity for UNEATLANTICO students linked to technological, business or other degrees to explore creative solutions to social, environmental or academic problems. The structure of the program allows a single idea, even at an early stage, to become an international project thanks to expert support and available technological resources.
