The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) welcomed the new international students who are joining the second semester of the academic year 2024-2025. The meeting took place last Wednesday 12th February at 3pm in the Exhibition Hall of the University.
The event began with a presentation about the university with the testimonies of Jessica del Pilar Guerrero, student of the degree in Agricultural and Food Industries Engineering (IIAA) and Marcelo Solís, student of the degree in Business Administration (ADE), delegate and subdelegate of the Higher Polytechnic School of UNEATLANTICO.
Likewise, Ana Bustamante, director of the UNEATLANTICO Residence, introduced herself to the young people to let them know where to go in case of any circumstance during their stay at the residence. She reminded them of the importance and compliance with the rules to ensure a good coexistence within the residence.
They were given information about the key aspects of the University, including both curricular and extracurricular activities. In addition, recommendations were given on how to get around Santander. To inspire the new students, several students shared their own experiences as international students, with the aim of motivating the newcomers.
To close the event, the students of the Mentoring programme, under the direction of the teacher Luis Eduardo Prado, carried out a group dynamic designed to encourage the first contact between the new students in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. During this activity, the participants had the opportunity to share personal information, exchange their first impressions about the university, the residence and Santander, as well as receive more personalised advice for this new experience.
