UNEATLANTICO celebrates the International Week with the participation of universities from all over Europe

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European Atlantic University, UNEATLANTICO) held a new edition of its International Week from 4 to 8 May, an international academic meeting that brought together in Santander teachers and representatives of different European universities with the purpose of strengthening institutional cooperation, mobility and internationalization of higher education.

The initiative, coordinated by UNEATLANTICO’s Office of International Relations (ORI), was aimed at bringing the university closer to its international partners in the Erasmus+ program, promoting the exchange of academic and cultural experiences, as well as the participation of international teachers in the classrooms.

The program combined educational, institutional and cultural activities. The week began with an official reception, an institutional presentation of the university and a guided tour of the campus and the residence hall. The opening day ended with a welcome dinner where participants could get to know the regional cuisine.

During the following days, intensive Spanish courses were developed, with lectures focused on the current challenges of higher education, institutional presentation sessions and networking spaces focused on university internationalization and the creation of new opportunities for academic collaboration.

The program also included cultural and social activities, such as workshops on Spanish cuisine, visits to the city of Santander and sports and musical proposals framed in the University Day. Also, solidarity initiatives such as “Meals of the World” were carried out to promote cultural exchange among participants.

The closing of the meeting was dedicated to research and international cooperation, with a workshop on doctoral projects, the presentation of initiatives in which UNEATLANTICO participates and a session on the role of culture in internationalization processes. The week ended with the opening of an exhibition and the delivery of certificates to all attendees.

This edition was attended by representatives of universities from Latvia, Turkey, Germany, Romania, Hungary, Finland and Lithuania, several of them integrated into the DIVERSE European alliance.
