The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) and the Foundation for Innovation and Development (FIDBAN) have once again played a key role in closing a new edition of STARTinnova, the leading educational entrepreneurship program in Cantabria. As a patron and strategic collaborator, the Foundation not only formed part of the jury responsible for evaluating the ten finalist projects, but also made its facilities available for the development of the Communication Workshop that took place in January at the UNEATLANTICO Event Hall.
During the event, Rubén Calderón, Rector of UNEATLANTICO and secretary of FIDBAN, highlighted the importance of connecting academic training with the reality of the business fabric. In his speech, Calderón stressed that the entrepreneurial spirit encouraged by initiatives like this is the necessary engine for the economic strengthening of the region, an objective that forms part of the DNA of the Foundation and UNEATLANTICO.
In this sense, he referred to the academic offer of UNEATLANTICO, with transversal and mandatory subjects such as Projects and Business Creation and Entrepreneurship.
