The Sports Service (SAFD) of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) successfully organized the sixth edition of the volleyball tournament that took place on March 26 and 27. It was held at the university’s sports facilities and registration for the tournament was open to all students of the university.
Teams could be formed by a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 8, regardless of the grade or course they are currently studying. A total of 5 teams participated, all against all, and the best of 3 sets was played. The tournament started at 17:30 with a large audience motivating the players.
The final was played between the team “La Chubyneta” against the team “JV”. Winning 2 sets against 0, the team “La Chubyneta” was proclaimed undefeated champion of the VI Volleyball Tournament 6×6 UNEATLANTICO. They will also have the honor of representing UNEATLANTICO in the Regional Championship against the University of Cantabria (UC) today April 11, at 17:00 at the UC sports center.

Throughout the last month, the SAFD held multiple tournaments in various sports, including soccer and badminton tournaments. All with the aim of promoting sports and encouraging the university community to participate in activities that focus on physical activity and sports.
For its part, it should be noted that soon, UNEATLANTICO will inaugurate the Spanish University Championship (CEU) in the modalities of Badminton and Surf.
