The President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, inaugurated the new campus of the International University of Cuanza, located in the city of Cuito (Bié) and promoted by the Iberamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER).

The event was attended by the Spanish ambassador in Angola, Manuel Hernández; the president of FUNIBER, Santos Gracia; the rector of the European University of the Atlantic, Rubén Calderón; the rector of the International Iberoamerican University, Luis Dzul, and the directors of FUNIBER Spain and FUNIBER Brazil.

The International University of Cuanza is a Spanish-Angolan cooperation project that aims to offer students a comprehensive education based on excellence and committed to people. As part of its learning model, UNIC will promote the teaching of the Spanish language in all its courses, with the aim of providing language skills to students who will pursue double degrees with the European University of the Atlantic.

In this first year, UNIC will include a total of ten degrees for its educational offerings, namely Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering (in the Faculty of Engineering); Business Administration and Management, Organizational Psychology, Law and Journalism (in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities) and Nursing (in the Faculty of Health Sciences).

Agreement between UNEATLANTICO and UNIC

With the rector of the European University of the Atlantic in Cuito, the agreement agreed between the Cantabrian institution and the International University of Cuanza was formalized, through which Angolan students will enjoy studying abroad in Santander.

This collaboration agreement offers students enrolled in degree programs the possibility of completing their studies at UNEATLANTICO, validating credits already taken in Angola and receiving a second Spanish degree from the program, with all the requirements demanded by the programs administered by the European Union. To do so, they must spend a year and a half at the UNEATLANTICO campus.
