The future journalists of UNEATLANTICO learn how television works on Popular TV

Students of first and second degree in Journalism (PER) and Audiovisual Communication (CA) from the Universidad Europea del Atlantico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) have visited the studio of Popular TV to learn live how television works.

The director of the station, Fernando Collantes, has guided the students through the different departments of recording, realization, writing and set explaining to the students the production process of the programs. During the visit to the local television facilities, students have been able to see live how some techniques are applied for content broadcasting.

In addition to getting to know the facilities, they have been able to talk with the production and editorial team of the Cantabrian station, who explained how they work to broadcast the news and the production needs.

The director of Popular TV has explained to the students the opportunity that it means to start as professionals through scholarships that allow students a practical training as well as in-depth knowledge of the work of television.

The students have made this visit accompanied by professor Olga Agüero within the subject of Theory and Practice of Journalism Writing.
