The 2023-2024 academic year begins at UNEATLANTICO after welcoming ceremonies for new students
Dr. Carlos Lago at the presentation of the degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD).

The new academic year begins with the reception of students who begin their university experience in one of the fifteen degrees offered by the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic) (UNEATLANTICO), as well as in the Master’s Degree in Teacher Training.

The presentation events were held in different areas of the university campus such as the Residence Hall and the Assembly Hall and were conducted by the different academic directors and members of the teaching staff, who introduced the evaluation criteria and the general rules of coexistence of the University, as well as the specificities of their degree.

In this regard, Ana Visiers, the new academic director of the three communication degrees —degree in Audiovisual Communication (CA), degree in Journalism (PER), and degree in Advertising and Public Relations (PRP)—, addressed the young people for the first time to thank them for their confidence in UNEATLANTICO as the architect of the continuation of their academic training. She also shared with the students some reflections on her university experience and offered practical advice on how to contribute —among all of us— to the smooth running of the classes and to personal growth and development.

On the other hand, Dr. Silvia Aparicio, Vice Chancellor for Academic Planning and Faculty of the University, hosted the presentation of the degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE); Dr. Manuel Masías, director of the Higher Polytechnic School, was in charge of presenting the degree in Computer Engineering (II); Dr. Carlos Lago introduced students to the degree in Sport and Exercise Science (CAFYD) being the tenth promotion; and finally, Dr. Juan Luis Martín made the presentation of the degree in Psychology (PSI).

With all this, the incoming students inaugurate their university stage in UNEATLANTICO and begin what will be a four-year process in which each experience will provide them with learning of human value and knowledge that will enable them for the future career that each one of them will choose.
