Students of UNEATLANTICO undergo a practical training in collaboration with NEXUS Sport Clinic

Students of the 3rd year of the degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD) at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) participated in a training day in collaboration with Nexus Sport Clinic, within the subject New Trends of Fitness and Wellness.

The event took place at the facilities of Nexus Sport Clinic, located in Soto de la Marina, a newly opened center that began its activity in January 2026. With an area of 760 square meters, the space has a training room, five physiotherapy rooms, a pilates room, a bar room, a dance hall and changing rooms, offering a modern and functional environment oriented to integral well-being.

During the workshop, professionals from the center, including graduates of UNEATLANTICO, responsible for the training area, brought students closer to the reality of the sector from a dual perspective: business and practical. First, key aspects related to the creation and management of a sports center were addressed, such as economic viability, project development, necessary licenses, space distribution, customer acquisition and management or marketing strategies.

In the field of training, students were introduced to the working methodology of Nexus, based on functional full-body training, prioritizing global exercises over analytical movements. In addition, the importance of individualization of the sessions, adapted to the objectives, level and limitations of each client, as well as the use of specific tools to optimize performance and recovery was highlighted.

This collaboration reinforces the commitment of both entities to applied training and bringing students closer to the professional reality of the sector, allowing them to acquire key skills for their future work.
