The rector magnificent of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), Rubén Calderón, made an institutional visit to the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Spain, where he met with Karla Tejada, responsible for the Educational Section of the diplomatic representation.
The main objective of the meeting was to extend an official invitation to the ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Spain, D. Toni Raful Tejada, to visit the facilities of UNEATLANTICO and its university residence in Cantabria. Also, it was proposed to hold a business meeting with the Cantabrian business network and a rapprochement with Dominican students who are currently studying on the university campus.
This initiative is part of the “business meetings” program promoted by UNEATLANTICO and the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), entities that maintain a close collaboration with various embassies accredited in Spain. In addition, this rapprochement contributes to strengthening academic and institutional links with the University of La Romana (UNIROMANA), in the Dominican Republic.
These activities are supported by the Fundación Innovación y Desarrollo (FIDBAN), of which UNEATLANTICO, FUNIBER and the Society for the Regional Development of Cantabria (SODERCAN) are part. The meetings include the official reception of the ambassador and his delegation by the university authorities, the formalization of framework collaboration agreements and the promotion of dialogue and cooperation with the business sector of Cantabria.
