Juan Luis Martín, Vice-Rector of Research and Knowledge Transfer, represents UNEATLANTICO at the 1st Day of Safety in Research in Spain

The Vice-Rector for Research and Knowledge Transfer of the Uinversidad Europea del Atlántico (Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), Dr. Juan Luis Martín, participates in the 1st Day of Safety in Research in Spain, held at the hall of events of the Superior Council of Scientific Research (CSIC).

The objective of this first day was a first contact and sharing between universities and the main research centers in Spain on the topic of security in research, in line with European priorities and action plans.

The participants analyzed previous experiences to be able to implement safety protocols in Spanish research institutions, such as universities and R&D centers. In addition, the meeting sought to encourage learning, facilitate dialogue and cooperation between different institutions and actors of the Spanish science, technology and innovation system.

The topics covered during the workshop were the protection of scientific assets and strategies for shielding research results; cybersecurity in R&D environments and measures to prevent attacks; the management of geopolitical risks and also analyze how international tensions can affect scientific collaborations.

Juan Luis Martín attended on behalf of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), reinforcing the commitment of the university in its effort to strengthen the protection of scientific and technical assets against various risks.
