A group of students from the Journalism (PER) and Audiovisual Communication (CA) degrees at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) have visited the RTVE facilities in the Raos Polygon of Cantabria, from where the local programming is produced and broadcast for the entire autonomous community.
The director, Juan Carlos Jiménez, has received the students and has personally taken them through the RNE and TVE studios, the public information services that share the facilities.
The students have known the process of production and realization of both radio and television, the technical means that are used and how news is made. From the editorial office, they have learned the working and editing method of news while meeting some of the journalists who make up RTVE staff in Cantabria and talking to them about their work.
The visit to RTVE studies is integrated into the training process of students at UNEATLANTICO, bringing future journalists closer to the reality of media and allowing them to know firsthand the professional work that takes place in radio and television studios.
The students made this visit accompanied by professor Olga Agüero, in the framework of the subjects of Theory and Practice of Journalism Writing and History of Journalism.
