IOI and IIAA students from UNEATLANTICO visit the industrial area of Otero as part of their practical training

Fourth-year students of the Industrial Organization Engineering degrees (IOI) and Agricultural and Agro-Food Engineering (IIAA) of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) carried out a site visit in the construction of an industrial building, located at the industrial area of Otero (polígono industrial de Otero) in Igollo de Camargo.

Carried out as part of the Industrial Construction subject, the outing was led by professor and architect Carlos Galiano, who guided the students through the construction site, explaining the different aspects of the construction process.

This hands-on learning experience has allowed students to see the direct application of the various construction elements and details they have been learning in class. Likewise, it has also given them a closer look at how these elements are implemented in real-world construction scenarios. It should be noted that one of the competencies of the Industrial Construction subject is that students have the ability to design and measure structural elements of industrial constructions in different scenarios.

The degrees in Industrial Organization Engineering (IOI) and Agro-Food Engineering (IIAA) focus on equipping students with the technical skills and knowledge necessary for engineering roles in various industries. That is why the degrees combine theoretical learning with practical experiences to prepare students for their professional future, such as this visit.

The visit to the industrial area of Otero represents just one of the many ways in which UNEATLANTICO  is committed to providing its students with real-world experiences that complement and enhance their classroom learning.
