SAFESIP team made up of Communication students will represent UNEATLANTICO at DIAGEOLab in Madrid

The Universidad Europa del Atlántico (UNEATLANTICO) participates in the eighth edition of THEHUB, a contest where 15 universities present proposals in line with a different brand each year, trying to reach the Z generation.

This year the brand presenting the competition is DIAGEO, a British company dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of alcoholic beverages. Therefore, the students had to come up with ideas around four of their drinks: JB, Smirnoff, Captains Morgan and Gordons. In relation to this, they had to sell their project following certain items, one of them being the limit of 7 minutes at the time of the presentation. To do so, they had the help of several mentors, who, thanks to their professional background, guided the students throughout the process for a better development of their idea.

Ana Visiers, director of the degrees in Audiovisual Communication (CA), Journalism (PER) and Advertising and Public Relations (PRP), is the one who, within the framework of the subject of Creation of Audiovisual and Multimedia Products, has promoted this opportunity to carry out a project for a real company and present a creative proposal. After months of working on their ideas, the teams presented them to a distinguished jury of creatives and communication and advertising professionals: Miguel Justribó, CEO of Hub Of Brands and Adrián Ballester, Brand Director at Mazinn consulting firm. After a close decision, and 19 proposals submitted by students of UNEATLANTICO, “SAFESIP”, team formed by María Paulina Acosta, Barzilai Espinosa, Elena De Oza and Tamara de la Fuente, have been proclaimed champions, being the team that will have the privilege of representing the University at national level in the capital.

The final will be held on June 6 and 7 in Madrid, where the selected teams will visit THEHUB and DIAGEO facilities. There they will present their ideas to a grand jury, which will include the advertising agency mentors who have accompanied them throughout the creation process. In the case of being the most voted idea, the students who will represent UNEATLANTICO, will have the opportunity to develop their idea, this being the prize of the contest.
