Adrian Rodriguez, teacher of UNEATLANTICO, among the 30 best in the Skeleton World Cup, held in New York.

The professor of the degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFYD) of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), Adrian Rodriguez, stands out in his participation in the Skeleton World Championship 2024 held in several cities around the world.
The World Cup consists of eight races, each of them in a different city. The last race of the tour took place in Lake Placid, New York, where Adrian managed to position himself as number 29 in the world.

Likewise, this season the UNEATLANTICO teacher has also achieved his personal best by finishing 25th at the World Championships in Germany, entering for the first time in the coveted Top 25 of the competition and managing to get into the last heat with the best in the world. Thus opening a chance to the 2026 Olympic Games if he keeps it.
It should be noted that Rodriguez had previously been proclaimed Spanish skeleton champion for the second consecutive year in Innsbruck (Austria) and in the World Cup, held in Yanqing (China), he had finished in 18th position with a time of 2:09:18.
Skeleton is an Olympic winter sport that is part of the different modalities of downhill sledding, along with bobsleigh and luge. In skeleton competitions, participants descend down a steep and risky ice track using a small sled. This sport stands out as the world’s leading sliding discipline.
The outstanding performance of Adrián Rodríguez in the Skeleton World Championship 2024 not only places him among the top 25, but also highlights his constant dedication to the sport that demands the best from its participants.
