The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) present at the II Meeting on Artificial Intelligence applied to Clinical Nutrition.
Dr. Iñaki Elío, director of the degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (NHD) participated as a speaker at this event organized by the Castilian-Leonese Society of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition (SCLEDyN).
The day brought together health professionals to examine the impact of artificial intelligence in everyday clinical practice, with a focus on nutrition and endocrinology. The meeting promoted a critical reflection and an enriching exchange of experiences around the challenges and opportunities posed by this technology.
In this context, Dr. Iñaki Elío participated on behalf of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) through the presentation, “Virtual patients in nutrition: how chatbots can help us”, which highlighted the potential of conversational tools and simulation environments as support for health education and clinical practice, always with an ethical, responsible approach based on scientific evidence.
The webinar started at 16:00 with the introduction “Where AI in Clinical Nutrition takes us”, moderated by Professor Daniel de Luis (University of Valladolid). From 16:00 to 17:00, Dr. Elío presented his presentation; from 17:00 to 18:00, Dr. David Barajas (director of the Institute of Endocrinology and Nutrition – Recoletas Salud, Valladolid) addressed the “Use of GPT Chat in the practice of Clinical Nutrition”; and closed with conclusions and ideas.
Also, Dr. Iñaki Elío shared his satisfaction for participating in the meeting, thanking Professor Daniel de Luis for moderation, Dr. David Barajas for the exchange and Paula Gamarra for the impeccable coordination. Thus, it reinforced the value of chatbots and virtual patients in health education and ethical clinical practice.
