UNEATLANTICO and the Erasmus Santander Nonstop Association sign a collaboration agreement to strengthen university internationalization

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) and the Erasmus Santander Nonstop University Association (ESN) signed a collaboration agreement between the two institutions to enable academic, cultural, and sports collaboration for the dissemination and promotion of sport.

The agreement was signed by the rector of UNEATLANTICO, Rubén Calderón, and Ana Calleja Roldán, president of ESN Santander. The director of the International Relations Office, Juan Luis Vidal, was also present.

The main objective of this agreement is to allow the use of the facilities of UNEATLANTICO for integration activities and games by ERASMUS, thus allowing students to share knowledge, social relations, and experiences in the respective areas of sport and culture and to promote the physical activities of sport in the university environment.

This agreement has not only sports objectives but also academic and cultural ones, with the possibility of creating and organizing different training activities such as courses, conferences, congresses, and workshops, to promote learning and the exchange of ideas among international students, professors, and academics.

In addition, it addresses collaboration in the creation and organization of events and programs involving ongoing and professional development, along with the joint implementation of collaborative projects of common interest. Studies and research obtain a prominent place in this agreement, promoting academic advances through advice and cooperation regarding methodology and new information technologies by the university to find support between both institutions.

NATIONAL ERASMUS GAMES

As the first collaborative activity between the two institutions, the National Erasmus Games (NEG) were inaugurated on Friday, March 15. Sports championships that brought together more than 200 Erasmus students to compete in 3×3 basketball, futsal, athletics, and volleyball.
