The third edition of the UNEATLANTICO Short Film Festival will be held on May 22 and 23, 2024, at the university campus. For the three best short films, there will be a prize of 300 € to be shared among them. Also, apart from the 10 categories already established, the “Federico Fernández Special Award” will be presented again. Registration for the festival officially closes on April 28th at 23:59.
Short films of any genre and with a maximum duration of 10 minutes will be accepted for this festival, also short films that have been produced in the years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 that have not been presented in previous editions of the festival can be submitted. This year the participation is open, as an invited entity, to the students of the Universidad Internacional do Cuanza (UNIC), but any student of UNEATLANTICO can participate in the festival.
There are 10 different categories that will be awarded, these awards will be given exclusively to students, except for best actor and best actress. Once again, the award that was created in the name of UNEATLANTICO’s professor, Federico Fernandez, will be presented. The awards are as follows:

Last year, the gala of the II Short Film Festival was a total success and the short film “Mírate” written by Eduardo Cuétara, Andrea Sierra and Cristina Fernández, directed by Eduardo Cuétara won a total of 4 different awards, including best script and best short film.
Finally, we remind all those who wish to participate in the festival to send in their entries no later than April 28th at 23:59. In this way, the judges can evaluate all the short films and give their final verdict in a timely manner.
