The researcher, science communicator, and lecturer at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), José Ramos Vivas, participates along with more than 30 experts in the RIS3 Cantabria Meeting on Bioeconomy and the Agri-Food Sector.
The main objective of these meetings is to foster an atmosphere of trust and cooperation to facilitate the exchange of experiences and knowledge. It also seeks to generate alliances and synergies that can have a positive impact on the region of Cantabria.
The meetings follow the Entrepreneurial Discovery Process (EDPs) model, an interactive and inclusive approach that allows the relevant actors of each ecosystem to identify new opportunities and potentials through the identification of problems and the co-design of solutions.
This event has been a space to work around the Bioeconomy and the Agri-Food Sector, one of the central ecosystems of the Smart Specialization Strategy of Cantabria. Institutions, experts, and citizens work together to identify opportunities and co-design solutions for RIS3 Ecosystems.
The Quadruple Helix model, which includes the administration, companies, research centers, universities, and citizens, allows these actors, including Dr. José Ramos, to sit at the same table to seek strategic opportunities. The administration takes note of this information and offers tools to those actors who are most capable of carrying out strategic actions in order to foster innovation and competitiveness in key sectors for the region.
The Santander International Center for Entrepreneurship (Centro Internacional Santander Emprendimiento, CISE) is working closely with the Ministry of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Trade of the Government of Cantabria to seek strategic opportunities to promote innovation and competitiveness in the region.
