The European Atlantic University (UNEATLANTICO) renews its collaboration agreement, in force for a decade, with Bathco Balonmano Torrelavega, maintaining its commitment to promote Cantabrian sport.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Rubén Calderón, representing UNEATLANTICO. During it, the rector expressed his commitment to sport in the region, highlighting that his institution has been a reference team in Cantabria thanks to more than a decade of agreement with the handball club, which has significantly increased the visibility of this discipline through continued support to the club.
On behalf of the Bathco was present Antonio Gómez, president of the club, in company with all the staff of the men’s team, which includes three students of the degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD) of the European University of the Atlantic: Jokin Aja, Miguel de Cos and Juan Antonio Zaballos.
Gómez stressed that, throughout this joint journey, they have lived great moments, «from their stages in the silver category to reaching European competitions, always with the firm and constant support of the university». In turn, he expressed confidence that this year will be equally successful and that they can continue to count on the support of the institution.
The president also stressed that the doors of the club will always be open to university students. During these years they have welcomed students to carry out the curricular practices in their club of the degree in CAFYD as well as the degrees in Journalism (PER) , Audiovisual Communication (CA) and Advertising and Public Relations (PRP) and wants the relationship to stay that way because they have contributed a lot in the day-to-day of the club.
