The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) welcomed Luca de Santis, a representative from the Office of International Relations (ORI) at the University of Florence, for an official visit during the week of 16–20 March. This visit, which took place as part of the Erasmus+ programme, aimed to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions.
During his visit, De Santis met with the ORI team at UNEATLANTICO and other members of the academic community. These meetings provided an opportunity to share experiences and best practices in internationalisation, a key area for both universities.
He also had the opportunity to tour the campus facilities. He showed particular interest in the Spanish language programme for international students and in cooperation projects with countries outside the European Union, particularly in Africa and Mexico, regions of strategic importance for the international outreach of both institutions.
Currently, the European University of the Atlantic and the University of Florence have Erasmus agreements in Psychology and Agricultural Engineering. The visit also served to review the status of these programmes and assess their potential extension to other fields of study.
UNEATLANTICO agrees on the need to continue promoting joint initiatives that facilitate the mobility of students and staff, as well as the development of shared academic projects.
