The International University of the Americas (UIA) of Costa Rica visited the facilities of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO). The objective of this visit was to strengthen the ties of collaboration between both institutions, joining efforts to implement initiatives that benefit their academic communities.
Mr. Ángel Marín Espinoza, president of the Board of Directors of the UIE, together with the UIA delegation were received by the rector of UNEATLANTICO, Mr. Rubén Calderón and the general secretary and vice rector of International Relations, Mr. Roberto Ruiz.
Afterwards, a guided tour of the University Campus was organized by the head of Institutional Relations, Ms. Laura Saiz, in which they visited all the university facilities.
In this line, they visited the UNEATLANTICO Residence, where the director, Ms. Ana Bustamante, showed them the accommodations that more than three hundred students enjoy during the academic year.
Similarly, Mr. Juan Luis Vidal, Director of the International Relations Office (ORI) of UNEATLANTICO, together with the Vice Rector for International Relations, Mr. Roberto Ruiz, held a meeting with representatives of the Costa Rican UIA. In addition, it should be noted that both institutions share previous collaboration ties. It is worth mentioning that last March, the Vice Rector for International Relations, Roberto Ruiz, toured Central America, where he met with representatives of the UIA in Costa Rica.
