Professors Miguel Heres, Susana Pulgar, and Ainhoa Bores from the Faculty of Health Sciences at th Universidad Europea del Atlantico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), participated in the International Week organized by Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) in the city of Pori, Finland, from April 7 to 11 through the Erasmus+ program.
During their stay, the UNEATLANTICO professors participated in academic and cultural activities designed to strengthen international cooperation in the university sphere and to share best practices in teaching and educational innovation. The meeting brought together professors from different European universities and other regions of the world.
Among the most notable activities, the professors attended conferences on the application of AI tools in education, given by experts such as entrepreneur Peter Vesterbacka and professor Jussi Bergman. In addition, they participated in specific sessions of the University Sports, Learning and Well-being itinerary, which addressed international proposals and experiences to promote health, physical activity, and well-being in the university environment.
The meeting also included practical activities such as an outdoor event in Polsanluoto, visits to the SAMK campus facilities, including laboratories, simulation rooms, and social and health service centers, and a cultural visit to the city of Rauma, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Finally, this experience has allowed us to strengthen ties with other international institutions, learn about innovative initiatives in university education, and reinforce the European University of the Atlantic’s commitment to internationalization, teaching innovation, and promoting the well-being of its student community.
