UNEATLANTICO organizes the online round table “Learning the teaching profession in community”

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) will organize, on October 2 at 5:00 p.m. (Spain), the round table in Spanish, “Learning the teaching profession in community,” in which teachers Lidia Criado and Daiana Grande will participate, moderated by Dr. Thomas Prola.

The event is being held in collaboration with the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), the International Ibero-American University of Puerto Rico (UNIB), the International Ibero-American University of Mexico (UNINI Mexico), the International University Foundation of Colombia (UNINCOL), the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (UNIC), and the University of La Romana (UNIROMANA).

Thomas Prola holds a PhD in Education Sciences from the University of Barcelona (UB). He also has a master’s degree in Education and Teaching in Virtual Environments. He is also the co-coordinator of the Erasmus + Digital Academy in teaching practice for a seamless transition from pre-service to in-service (DigitalTA) project, which has just won an award at the Triple E Awards. Lidia Criado is a teacher with extensive experience who has collaborated with the project in the role of mentor. Finally, Daiana Grande is a teacher and director of the Santísimo Rosario de Monteros School in Argentina.

This session marks the start of the FUNIBER Teacher Well-being Program, an initiative led by Dr. Thomas Prola. It stems from a collaboration agreement between the European University of the Atlantic and the Social Action area of the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), as well as the partners of the DigitalTA project, and will last for three years. It is a comprehensive approach focused on professional care to increase teacher well-being and reduce the dropout rate of professionals in the sector.

The event, which is part of the celebration of Teachers’ Day, will also present a toolkit for mutual care in the teaching community, with the aim of socially transferring the results of the research carried out and offering resources that promote the well-being of teachers.

The conference is free and open to anyone interested in the subject, and will be broadcast live on FUNIBER’s YouTube channel. The broadcast schedule can be found at this link.
