UNEATLANTICO holds a graduation ceremony for scholarship recipients in Mexico

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), together with the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), recently held a university degree award ceremony in Mexico, in recognition of the effort and dedication of the scholarship recipients who successfully completed their postgraduate studies at the universities that make up its International University Network.

The academic ceremony brought together graduates from the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), the International Ibero-American University of Mexico (UNINI Mexico) and the International Ibero-American University (UNIB), once again consolidating the Foundation’s commitment to quality higher education with an international outlook.

The ceremony took place in the Guadalajara room of the BelAir Unique Hotel in Mexico City and was attended by academic authorities and institutional representatives. The table of honour was composed of the international director of Admissions at FUNIBER, Dr. Mónica Gracia Villar; the rector of UNINI Mexico, Dr. Luis Dzul López, and the secretary general of the same institution, Mtra. María Bernés Patrón, who presided over the ceremony and accompanied the graduates in this significant moment of their academic careers.

In total, 19 scholarship recipients received their respective university degrees: one from UNIB, one from UNEATLANTICO, and seventeen from UNINI Mexico. The postgraduate programmes covered various areas of knowledge, reflecting the breadth and diversity of the academic offerings of the FUNIBER Network. Among the degrees awarded were the Master’s Degree in Education; the Master’s Degree in Linguistics Applied to the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language; the Master’s Degree in Social Gerontology; the Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Food Biotechnology; the Master’s Degree in Vegetarian Nutrition and Dietetics; the Master’s Degree in Clinical and Health Psychology; the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering; and the Master’s Degree in Physical Activity: Sports Training and Management.

During the ceremony, the academic authorities congratulated the graduates, highlighting their perseverance, discipline, and commitment throughout their training, as well as the value of education as a tool for personal and social transformation. Special recognition was also given to the students with the highest academic averages at each university, distinguishing Edith Vázquez Velázquez (UNIB); Maricruz García Loya and Víctor Maldonado Benítez (UNINI Mexico), and Gricel González Vázquez (UNEATLANTICO).

On behalf of his classmates, graduate Víctor Maldonado Benítez gave an emotional message of gratitude, expressing his appreciation to FUNIBER for the support provided through its scholarship programme, as well as to the families and loved ones of the graduates, whose support was essential during their studies.

With ceremonies such as this, FUNIBER reaffirms its work as a foundation for international educational cooperation, facilitating access to postgraduate university studies through its Scholarship Programme and its close collaboration with renowned universities. The Foundation continues to work to train highly qualified professionals who are able to apply their knowledge for the benefit of their communities and actively contribute to the academic, social and professional development of their countries.
