UNEATLANTICO and the Cantabrian Athletics Federation sign an agreement to promote and spread sport in the region.

The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) and the Cantabrian Athletics Federation (FCA) have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of strengthening their institutional relations and promoting joint initiatives.

The signing of the agreement took place in the boardroom of UNEATLANTICO, with the presence of the rector of the University, Rubén Calderón; Dr. Álvaro Velarde Sotres, coordinator of the Doctorate Programme in Physical Activity and Sport: Risks and Benefits, teaching and research staff of the institution; the president of the FCA, Mr. Manuel Saiz Rodríguez; and Santiago Velasco, technical director of the Cantabrian Athletics Federation.

This agreement represents a milestone in the collaboration between both institutions, marking the beginning of a relationship that will promote academic, cultural and sporting activities aimed at promoting and disseminating sport in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. It also seeks to be a driving force for the promotion of quality research in the field of sport, fostering scientific and technical progress in the region. This type of collaboration reinforces the commitment of both institutions to social, educational and sporting progress, benefiting students, athletes and the Cantabrian community.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that in its vocation to promote regional sport, the university has signed agreements with reference entities such as the Cantabrian Athletics Federation, the Real Racing Club de Santander, the Royal Cantabrian Football Federation, Basketball, Swimming, Rugby, Chess, Badminton or Bathco Handball Torrelavega, among others.
