The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) and the Corocotta Ultimate team have signed an agreement to collaborate in the promotion and encouragement of Ultimate Frisbee among the students of the university. The signing of the agreement took place in the boardroom of UNEATLANTICO, in the presence of the rector of the University, Rubén Calderón; the head of the Servicio Internacional de Convenios y Acuerdos Deportivos (International Service of Agreements and Sports Agreements, SICAD), Josep Alemany; and the president of the only Ultimate team in Cantabria, the Corocotta Ultimate, Javier Gallut.
The signing of this agreement between the two institutions further consolidates the excellent relationship that has existed for several years. In April last year, UNEATLANTICO was visited by the club to celebrate the World Day of Physical Activity with an Ultimate initiation workshop. On the other hand, both organizations worked closely together last October, offering a workshop on values through Ultimate in the sports facilities of UNEATLANTICO.
In this line, it should be noted that the cooperation between the Corocotta Ultimate and the Universidad Europea del Atlántico aims to promote the sport in Cantabria from training to ensure the transmission of values through sport.
With the formalization of this cooperation, these curricular and extracurricular activities will be followed up and at the same time joint efforts will be made to offer new competitive and formative activities through Ultimate at UNEATLANTICO.
