The International Congress on Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention organized by UNEATLANTICO comes to an end
The international congress organized by UNEATLANTICO in collaboration with FUNIBER and Jam Sports culminates.

The closing ceremony took place on April 25 for the 7th International Congress of Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention in Physical Activity and Sport, and the 5th Congress of Health and Physical Exercise organized by the European University of the Atlantic in collaboration with FUNIBER and Jam Sports.

The congress held online has allowed for international participation in which renowned professionals from different areas of sports medicine, health sciences, or physical preparation have shared their knowledge and experiences with the participants.

The event, which was held during the month of April, was structured in three thematic areas: Recovery Area, Prevention Area and Performance Area. The topics addressed were sports health, injury prevention, training, and the prevention, identification, and application of sports injuries, among others.

During each session, the speakers were accompanied by a moderator, who was in charge of presenting the lectures and answering questions from the audience. This was the case for student Valeria Iglesias from the degree in Advertising and Public Relations, and UNEATLANTICO professors Antonio Bores and Manuel Crespo.

On the other hand, attendees had the opportunity to submit different research papers, which were evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the Congress, of which the University professor, Álvaro Velarde, is a member.

Last Saturday, the three best works were also presented by their authors to the rest of the audience. As for the attendees who could not be present for professional reasons, we would like to remind them that the videos of the presentations are available, as are the bibliographic material on the virtual platform to which they have been given access.

Lastly, from all of us at the European University of the Atlantic, we would like to thank the participation of the speakers, attendees, and collaborating institutions that made the congress a success.
