Pedro Luis Cosío Fernández, CAFYD student, wins the first 2018-2019 National Graduation Award for University Education

The student of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD) of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), Pedro Luis Cosío Fernández has received the First National End of Career Award for University Education, course 2018-2019.

Cosío has been distinguished with the first National End of Career Award for University Education to recognize the “academic excellence” of the best university records of all universities in the country. The award, in addition to institutional recognition, is endowed with 3,300 euros. valuing the effort and dedication of the student.

This prestigious recognition, convened by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, aims to recognize and encourage academic excellence and high performance among university students from all universities in the country. The graduate of UNEATLANTICO was awarded for having demonstrated the best academic record throughout his university career in the discipline of CAFYD.

Receiving this award is a shared achievement, as it not only reflects the individual effort of the student, but also the teaching quality, academic accompaniment and comprehensive training that the European Atlantic University offers its students, said Cosío.

He also wanted to thank the support received during his training, stressing that all teachers “are part of this recognition”. In a special way, he expressed his gratitude to Mireia Peláez, who “introduced me and pushed me towards scientific research”.

The National Graduation Awards for University Education are one of the highest distinctions at the national level and seek to encourage continuous improvement, academic merit and excellence among the Spanish university community.
