Dr Paula Quijano, academic director of the degree programme in Translation and Interpreting and Applied Languages, Translation and Language Teaching (TEL) at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), completed an Erasmus+ Training stay at the University of the Azores located in Ponta Delgada, Portugal.
The University of the Azores, founded in 1976, is renowned for its role in student training and the multicultural nature of its campus. During her stay, Quijano had the opportunity to learn about accreditation processes, quality assurance and access to university studies at an international level.
The lecturer participated in meetings and various activities related to academic management, quality assurance processes and innovative teaching methods. This visit marks the second time that Quijano has visited the University of the Azores, strengthening the relationship between the two institutions.
“It is always very enriching to work in international contexts to learn about other ways, systems and methods that help us grow personally and professionally and that, ultimately, are reflected in our teaching and, in my case, also in the management of the degree programme,” says the academic director.
In this way, Quijano and UNEATLANTICO reinforce their commitment to internationalisation and the importance of intercultural experiences for comprehensive academic and professional development.
